An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a well-established 5-branch small animal practice on the South Coast. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, ideal for a supportive and clinically driven nurse looking to take the next step in a leadership role.
Key Details:

Full-time position – 40 hours per week

4- or 5-day week considered

Shift times between 8am and 7pm Monday–Friday, Saturdays 8am–1pm

No out-of-hours

Floor-based role promoting clinical excellence

Nurse rota coordination and management responsibilities

Mentorship and support for junior nursing team members

Admin/float time allocated within schedule
The Practice:
This RCVS-accredited small animal group operates across five well-integrated branches in the South Coast region. Each site collaborates closely with shared values, excellent clinical standards, and a strong community ethos. The successful candidate will join a supportive team of 12 RVNs, 3 Student Nurses, 3 Animal Care Assistants, and 6 Receptionists, alongside experienced veterinary surgeons and dedicated administrative staff.

Candidate Requirements:
-
Qualified RVN with prior leadership or senior nurse experience
-
Friendly, patient and supportive, with excellent communication skills
-
Passionate about high standards of care and mentoring junior team members

Confident in managing the nurse rota and team organisation
