Permanent Veterinary Surgeon – Colne, Lancashire
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established two-branch practice in Lancashire seeking a dedicated full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This progressive, well-equipped practice is committed to providing high standards of care and a supportive work environment.

OOH Rota (1.5 in 8 with generous TOIL):
-
Weekend 1: On-call Friday, work Saturday morning, on-call Sunday – Monday & Tuesday off in lieu

Weekend 2: On-call Saturday (Friday off in lieu) followed by 6 weekends off
-
1 weekday on-call every other week with the following day off

8-week rolling rota allows excellent life planning

Only two 5-day working weeks every 8 weeks (most weeks are 3 or 4 days)

OOH calls screened via telephone answering service
-
On-site accommodation available if preferred
Benefits (Pro Rata):
- £40,000 – £65,000 per annum DOE
- 6.6 weeks annual leave including Bank Holidays, with holiday buy-back scheme

Digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental suite with dental x-ray, flexible & rigid endoscopy

Two surgical theatres with multiparameter monitors, in-house lab, separate dog & cat wards

Three consulting rooms and a dedicated bereavement space

High, varied caseload supporting clinical growth

Regular visits from peripatetic specialists in ultrasonography and cardiology

Strong nursing team including ECC, anaesthesia, feline medicine and dentistry certificates

24/7 inpatient care provided by 3 dedicated night RVNs (2 ECC cert holders)

Supportive team culture with qualified GDP mentors, mental health first aiders, and wellbeing champions
