Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Carlisle, Cumbria

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established practice in Carlisle, seeking a compassionate and confident veterinary surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team.

• Confident with sole-charge consulting and routine surgeries

• A team player keen to share knowledge and develop clinically

• Open to full-time or part-time applicants

• All experience levels considered – right attitude is key

About the practice:

• RCVS accredited, Gold Standard Cat Friendly Clinic

• Gold Compassionate Understood accredited

• Actively working towards Investor in the Environment accreditation

• 15-minute consults with excellent RVN, SVN, ACA and reception support

• In-house diagnostics: digital x-ray (including dental), ultrasound, endoscopy, full lab

• Delivers both preventative and illness-based care via in-house healthcare plans

Rota and location:

• 1:4 OOH rota – not onerous, financially remunerated

• Set rota with consistent days and weekends (1 in 4)

• Flexible swapping between team members

• Close to the Lake District (15 miles) and Scottish Borders (8 miles)

Package includes:

• Salary £40,000–£60,000 FTE (DOE & hours)

• 6.6 weeks paid holiday including bank holidays

• £1750 CPD allowance 5 CPD days
