Permanent Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse – Rotherham, South Yorkshire

We are working with a forward-thinking, community-focused veterinary practice in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, to find an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse to join their growing team.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work alongside a passionate clinical team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care and excellent customer service.

🔍 About the Role:

• Support the Head Nurse in driving clinical excellence, governance, and continuous improvement

• Assist in managing surgery efficiency and team effectiveness

• Work as part of a collaborative, friendly, and proactive nursing team

• Handle a varied caseload including consults, inpatient care, and surgeries

• Opportunity to be involved in schedule 3 procedures (preferred but not essential)

• Involvement in clinical coaching (experience desirable but not essential)

• Confident in working sole charge when required

🕒 Working Hours:

• 4 x 9-hour shifts per week

• Shift patterns include:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–9:30pm

  • Friday: 8:00am–7:30pm

  • Saturday–Sunday: 8:30am–3:30pm

• 1 in 4 weekends – no TOIL

• Fair share of bank holiday cover required
