Permanent Veterinary Surgeon – Inverurie, Scotland

A progressive, genuinely mixed veterinary practice in Inverurie is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated and supportive team. About the Role:

• Permanent, full-time position based in Inverurie, ideally suited to a vet with experience across farm, equine, and small animal cases.

• 4-day working week, with hours between 08:45 – 17:00.

• Participation in a 1:8 out-of-hours rota (expected to increase upon recruitment), always supported by a second vet on-call.

• Generous time off following on-call weekends, including:

  • A 4-day long weekend post on-call.

  • An additional mid-rota long weekend.

  • Cash benefit for each out-of-hours call.

• Structured rota ensures a guaranteed mix of species work and dedicated operating days.

• 15-minute consultations delivered in manageable, bite-sized consulting blocks.

• Weekly clinical meetings encourage case discussion and professional collaboration.

Facilities & Equipment:

• Excellent, modern facilities for all species including:

  • Small animal and equine video endoscopy.

  • Sector and linear ultrasound scanners.

  • High-quality small animal ultrasound.

  • Digital x-ray (including dental and mobile equine).

• Salary: £37,000 – £60,000 per annum (FTE) depending on experience.
