Permanent Veterinary Surgeon – Inverurie, Scotland
A progressive, genuinely mixed veterinary practice in Inverurie is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated and supportive team. About the Role:

Permanent, full-time position based in Inverurie, ideally suited to a vet with experience across farm, equine, and small animal cases.

4-day working week, with hours between 08:45 – 17:00.

Participation in a 1:8 out-of-hours rota (expected to increase upon recruitment), always supported by a second vet on-call.

Generous time off following on-call weekends, including:

A 4-day long weekend post on-call.

An additional mid-rota long weekend.

Cash benefit for each out-of-hours call.

Structured rota ensures a guaranteed mix of species work and dedicated operating days.

15-minute consultations delivered in manageable, bite-sized consulting blocks.

Weekly clinical meetings encourage case discussion and professional collaboration.
Facilities & Equipment:

Excellent, modern facilities for all species including:

Small animal and equine video endoscopy.

Sector and linear ultrasound scanners.

High-quality small animal ultrasound.

Digital x-ray (including dental and mobile equine).

What's on Offer:

Salary: £37,000 – £60,000 per annum (FTE) depending on experience.

6.6 weeks paid holiday including bank holidays.

£1,750 CPD allowance annually – actively encouraged and supported.

Professional memberships paid: RCVS two others.

VDS cover provided.

Candidate Profile:

Confident in mixed practice – farm, equine, and small animal work.

Keen to maintain a high standard of care with time to work up cases.

Interest in developing specific clinical fields welcomed and supported.
