P ermanent Veterinary Nurse – Ashtead

Location: Ashtead, Surrey
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum

Hours: Full-time with a shared weekend rota

A well-established and modern veterinary practice in Ashtead is seeking a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join its experienced and supportive team. The role is full-time and includes participation in a shared weekend rota.

Practice Overview:

• Supported by a 24-hour hospital in Sutton and a strong network of neighbouring practices

• Offers advanced services including orthopaedics, CT and ultrasound imaging, laparoscopic neutering, and more

• Recently refurbished reception and consultation rooms

• Fully equipped with digital and dental X-ray, full in-house laboratory, microscope, and orthopaedic equipment

• A collaborative and friendly team culture with highly skilled vets and nurses

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver consistently exceptional patient and client care

• Support with surgeries and procedures, including pre- and post-operative tasks

• Conduct nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 procedures

• Monitor patients and provide clinical nursing care

• Manage patient admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team

• Coordinate patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care facilities

• Dispense and check medication accurately

• Ensure compliance with all clinical, operational, and regulatory standards

• Lead briefings to support the effective running of the practice and engage the wider team

Skills and Experience Required:

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse

• Proven experience in delivering high-quality patient and client care

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

• Experience in conducting nurse consults and understanding their impact on practice performance

• Confident in coaching and positively influencing colleagues

Salary and Benefits:
