We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Kidderminster for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team, focusing on their varied consultation caseload.
This role is full or part time for 3 to 5 days per week, along with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings from 9am to 12pm. There will be no OOH work, offering a great work-life balance.
The practice has an established team and offers a wide variety of 1st opinion veterinary services including orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. It boasts an excellent local reputation offering an excellent standard of clinical care. It boasts a friendly small team and is a family run practice. They have state of the art facilities and the practice is purpose built, bright and spacious.
About the role
The practice is looking for a vet surgeon to focus on their varied consultation caseload. You must have good routine surgical experience in order to inform your choices as a consult-only vet. There is some limited sole charge work, so it is also important that you are comfortable within this area. There are opportunities for you to work up cases fully from start to finish. You must also have excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Type: Small animal
- Hours: Full or part time, 3 to 5 days per week
- Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9am to 12pm

- Computer system: RX Works
- Consultations: 10 minutes
- Team: 2 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and a supportive non-clinical team

About you:
- You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
- You will be competent in all areas of routine surgeries and medical cases
- You will have a strong passion for consultation work
- You will want to contribute to the practice enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
- You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
- You will be a strong team player

- Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
