Locum Veterinary Surgeon – Northallerton, North Yorkshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a mixed animal practice in Northallerton for a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide ad hoc cover from June to August 2025, focusing on their small animal caseload. This role is part time with shifts from 8am to 5pm and 9am to 6pm. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

Ad hoc dates:

• 23rd, 25th, 26th, 27th and 30th June
• 1st to 4th, 7th to 11th, 14th, 16th, 23rd and 28th July
• 5th and 6th August

Key details:

• Hours: Part time, shifts between 8am and 6pm

• Sole charge: None
• Duties: Surgeries and consultations

• Daily rate: £300 to £400 per day, depending on experience and payment vehicle
• Payment options: Umbrella, bank contract, sole trader

Must haves:

• RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
• Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
