An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a large multi-vet team in Hartlepool. This role is full time for 40 hours per week, along with 1 in 4 Saturdays. Part time hours can be considered. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
The practice is one of 5 branches in total and two have just recently been moved to new premises. All branches are fully equipped with state of the art facilities and a supportive team.
They see a wide variety of cases and have a busy working environment. The role offers clinical freedom with an excellent support network. Many vets in the practice are currently working towards certificates so they will be happy to support any special interests you have. There are also great in-house referral opportunities.
Key details:
- Type: Small animal
- Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, part time considered
- Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturdays

- Consultations: 15 minutes
- Team: 9 vets and 10 RVNs

About you:
- You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
- Confident in all routine surgery
- You must have excellent customer and interpersonal skills and good at establishing work relationships.
- The role is determined on years of experience and be catered to suit but ultimately the Vet needs to be ambitious looking to develop clinical skills and knowledge
- You will always deliver and be committed to providing a high standard of clinical care
- You will have an enthusiastic and caring attitude
- You will have strong communication skills and organisational skills
Facilities:
The well-established modern practice comes with state-of-the-art facilities such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, separate dog and cat kennels, isolation units, an in-house laboratory and much more! The practice also has two new premises, so this is an exciting time to be joining the team.
Package:
- Salary: £40,000 to £60,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, including bank holidays
- CPD: Generous allowance of £1,700
- Memberships: RCVS and VDS fees paid

Must haves:
- RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
- Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
