We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Hemsworth, West Yorkshire for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full or part time for 24 to 40 hours per week, along with weekends on a rota. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
This is a friendly and supporting team comprising of 1 vet, 4 RVNs, 1 SVN and a supportive non-clinical team. The practice is fully equipped with diagnostic equipment and includes a pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound.
The practice pride themselves on providing a high standard of clinical care and are PSS accredited. They are forward-thinking and always looking to progress and grow the practice.
You will need to be confident in routine surgeries and consultations and enjoy a variety of cases. You must have good surgical experience and be comfortable working both by yourself and with others in a training and mentoring capacity.

About you:
- You will have good surgical skills
- You will be confident in routine surgeries and consultations
- You will be happy with some sole charge work
- You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
- You will have an approachable and caring attitude
- You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
- You will want to contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
- You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
- You will be a strong team player

- Salary: Up to £65,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
