We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days, along with 1 in 3 Saturdays. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
This is an established, purpose-built practice, which offers a wide range of diagnostic facilities and provides a range of modern veterinary services. They have a loyal client base and are continuing to expand. This role is ideal for vet who is looking for a role where a lot of variety is offered along with career development opportunities.
The Vet will be joining a team of 3 vets, 3 RVNs and 2 CCAs along with a non-clinical support team. They are looking for a Vet who has great client facing skills and easily build up working relationships. They will be looking to develop their own client base and will have excellent communication skills. Previous experience in medicine, surgery, and abdominal surgeries would be advantageous.

About you:
- You will be competent in routine consults
- If you have a special interest in medicine this would be advantageous but not essential.
- You will be ambitious and motivated and excited to develop and expand a practice
- You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
- You will be passionate about all aspects of your veterinary work
- You will enjoy building up your own client base
- You will be driven and ambitious
- Ambition to study towards areas of special interest are welcome but not essential for the role
- You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
- You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
- You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
- You will be a strong team player
Facilities:

Package:
- Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
