We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Darlington for a Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 4 days per week with weekends on a rota. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

About them:
A tier 3 accredited veterinary hospital with a 100% small animal client base, the practice is modern and fully equipped with a surgery that offers soft tissue and orthopaedics, exotic animals, dermatology, endoscopy, ultrasound and x-rays. The practice is currently working towards achieving fear free status for dogs to go with the ISFM gold cat friendly status and RAWF Silver rabbit friendly status already achieved
About you:
You will be an experienced veterinary surgeon with a desire to work with a forward thinking, fast paced veterinary practice. You must have a real passion for the industry and strive to provide the highest standards of care. Excellent customer service skills are also essential. The role is open to all qualified veterinary surgeons who are registered with the RCVS, however ideally you will have a couple of years' experience to be able to hit the ground running.

Package:
- Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
- CPD: Generous allowance of £1,500 with 3 days to attend
- Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
- Workplace pension scheme
- 4 weeks paid sabbatical after each 5 years of service

Must haves:
- RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
