Permanent Veterinary Practice Manager – Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire

We have an opportunity for a Permanent Veterinary Practice Manager to join an Independent first opinion small animal practice that is soon to open in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.
The practice manager will play a crucial role in decision making, overseeing the running of the practice, lead by example to support your other team members.
The position is full time working 5 days per week with shifts of 8 or 10 hours from 8:30am to 6:30pm. There is some flexibility required with the working hours.
Key duties:
- Promote a client-centered environment
- Handling client issues and maintaining client relationships
- Staff Management: Hiring, training, and overseeing support staff, including scheduling and performance reviews
- Finance and Accounting: Prepare financial statements and budgets, and manage debts and payroll
- Marketing responsibilities including the initiating of programmes and promotions and managing public relations
- Overseeing the management of practice facilities including operations of hospital software and facilities
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and RCVS standards

- Can provide ongoing training and development where required
About you:
- You have a minimum of three years' experience working within a veterinary practice.
- You will be able to demonstrate competencies in budgeting and financial reports.
- You will have experience in staff management, overseeing rotas and conducting performance reviews.
- You will have a passion for animal welfare and working within an animal care environment.
- You will be able to work well as part of a team, as well as independently and confident in decision making.
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build up working relationships with both the team and clients.
- You will be able to offer some flexibility in work hours which can include being available for any emergency situations.
Package:
- Salary: £32,000 to £38,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 20 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
