Permanent Veterinary Surgeon – Rotherham, South Yorkshire

We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon who has an interest in medicine or imaging to join an independent small animal practice in Rotherham. This role is full time for 40 hours per week with weekends on a rota. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
The practice is currently going through an extension and refurbishment with a new CT scanner being installed shortly and new orthopaedic and dental theatres. The ideal candidate would be interested in imaging.
The practice is one of 4 sites in the area and is proudly independent offering state of the art facilities. They are continuing to grow and expand are investing in state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment within their practices to expand their orthopaedic and soft tissue cases.
The role involves a mixture of both consulting and operating each day and the practice ensure that they Vets also have time built into their day in order to do call backs, medications and lab analysis.
They will be expected to provide clinical coaching and encourage development to continue to improve all knowledge and clinical skills. They will also be responsible for the recruitment of permanent and locum Veterinary Surgeons.
Responsibilities including:
- Working closely with the senior and head vet
- Adhering to practice procedures and protocols
- Maintaining clinical notes
- Lead by example
- Communicate effectively with all staff members ensuring investigations and follow up care and treatments are completed
- Provide excellent in-patient care
- Provide full in-depth handovers of patients to other team members
- Support the management team in strategic management

Package:
- Salary: £43,000 to £60,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
